Major Matthew Paterson is an officer in the Queen's Royal Hussars. He has served at Regimental Duty as a tank troop leader, signals officer, intelligence officer and squadron commander, and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. He has served as MA to both the Deputy Commander of Operation Inherent Resolve and the Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff (Operations and Commitments).
