WO1 (RSM) Steve 'Spud' Armon is the Regimental Sergeant Major of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Anglian Regiment, also known as The Vikings. He has served for two and a half years in Northern Ireland, in Iraq and on five tours of Afghanistan, where he was Mentioned in Dispatches on Op HERRICK 6. His leadership experience ranges from leading a sniper team, instructing at the Army Foundation College and the Infantry Battle School and being RSM of an infantry battalion.
